I FOUND 3 OF RUSCH'S TIES IN GOOD CONDITION AND USING SAID TIES I SET A SURVEY MARK NAIL AT THE CORNER 1' NORTH OF CENTERLINE. ONE OF RUSCH'S TIES TO THE NORTHEAST WAS HIT, I PULLED AND RE —SET THE PIPE AND FOUND 2 ADDITIONAL IRON PIPES AS SHOWN. As part of a regular maintenance program, the entire township tie file was researched to find record of monuments previously set. All ties are scheduled to be upgraded to A—E7 standards regarding witness iron numbers. In addition, any monuments in danger of being disturbed for any reason or needing immediate attention are upgraded. (e) Describe any material discrepancy between the location of the corner as restored or reestablished and the location of that corner as previously restored or reestablished by distance and direction. Show the discrepancy on the plan view drawing under (d), above. Show the distances between the corner as previously restored or reestablished and (1) the corner as restored or reestablished, and (2) to at least 2 of the witness monuments shown on the drawing in (d), above. To my knowledge there is no discrepancy. The R.R. spike appeared to be the intended corner monument. No additional measurements were made to adjacent PLSS corners for comparison with Government notes. The found position was witnessed. After reconstruction a Berntsen "SURVEY MARK" nail was set using witness irons previously set from R.R. spike. (f) Was the comer restored through acceptance of (1) an obliterated evidence location, or, (2) a found perpetuated Iocctlon? (2) A found perpetuated location. Excavation may be necessary and is strongly recommended. I placed a railroad spike on centerline of C.T.H. 'IN" in line with North and South line fences. This position reasonably fits 1/16 corner positions to the East and West. No original evidence was found.
