Review County Administrator Applications and Resumes ADJOURN Items may be taken in different order * *Additions /Changes /Corrections • A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings. • Items for County Board approval must be submitted to the County Clerk's office by Tuesday morning preceding a County Board meeting. 4/18/2011- -12:12 PM MINUTES OF THE ST. CROIX COUNTY ADMINISTRATON COMMITTEE April 19, 2011 1:00 PM Official Members Present: Sharon Norton - Bauman, Roger Rebholz, Lorin Sather, and Buck Malick Others Present: Tammy Funk, Human Resources Administrator Adoption of Agenda: Date of Next Meeting: April 27, 2011 Approval Of Minutes Of Previous Meeting: None to approve New Business: 1. Review County Administrator applications Funk provided an overview of the application process with the hiring panel. 55 Applications were received The committee discussed the minimum qualifications of the position as included in the ad and written in the job description which state that the applicant will have a Bachelor's degree with emphasis in public or business administration, with a preference for a Masters Degree, and a minimum of ten years experience in business, industry, or government at a responsible level. The applicant should also have five years management experience in a unionized work environment. There was discussion about acceptable substitutions of education and experience. Each panel member then reviewed all 55 resumes and there was group discussion as to whether the applicant met the qualifications as stated. 28 Applicants were determined to have met the qualifications and to be asked to submit a written response to a question regarding pay for performance. Funk will notify those applicants that they have been selected for further consideration and given direction as to the written question. Responses will be due to HR by Tuesday April 27 to be reviewed by the committee at their meeting April 28. Funk will notify the other 27 applicants that they are no longer under consideration for the position. Meeting Adjourned 2:30 pm 4/19/11 Tammy Funk, Recording Secretary
