WMZEAS the Wisconsin State Deparment of Health and Social Services
plans to reconnend, to the state legislature, legislation that would implement
state a&dnistration of Public Welfare (Income Maintenance) program .
UUMEAS the St. Croix County Board of Social Services continues to believe
in the effectiveness of local input into public welfare programs.
WHEREAS state administration would in our opinion constitute a loss of I
local control and guidance of public welfare programs, and a corresponding loss in
the effectiveness and efficiency of delivery of such program .
1HEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors is
opposed to state administration of public welfare and any legislation that would
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be provided to
St. Croix County representatives at the state legislature.
