TO THE ST. 7.OIX COUNTY 1:30ARr OF STTP7PVISORS.
WHEREAS, some containers and or bottles are purchased with a deposit return
factor, and
"H ER 7 iAS9 as more containers' bottles etc® could and should be manufactured on
a deposit and return 1^asis for and within this state of Wisconsin, and
WHEREAS2 much of our resources are used unnecessarily for the production of
containers and or bottles which are disposed of needlesslyg and
WHEREAS, as much extra unnecessary cost is involved in energy, labor and resource
area to dispose of non deposit returnable containersq bottlesq etc, and
INHFRFASq there are some states already having legislation passed requiring
containers and or bottles on a deposit return basis' and
WHEREAS, many miles of our beautiful highways are littered by these materials
and the inducement of a returnable container should lessen the cost and manpower
needed to nolice said roarsides®
N04, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that support and promotion he given to create
lecislation to require some certain containers and or bottles to be produced on a
deposit returnable basis so as to prevent further wastes®
AND FURTliPEPMORE, that this resolution be sent to legislators; R-Q�,®r., ^ q
Michele G. Radosevich and Leo 0® Mohn, so as to help create and pass legislation that
could effectuate these savings, which amount to in the millions of dollars®
AND FURTHERMORE, that this resolution be sent to the Wisconsin County Boards
Association®
