DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES

WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board has heretofore authorized
an application for a Federal Grant through the Wisconsin Council on
Criminal Justice for the placing of Juvenile Status Offenders in a
shelter,care facility, and
WHEREAS, said Grant has been approved by the Wisconsin Council
on Criminal Justice in the sum of $52,476.00, and
WHEREAS the County contribution to said fund would be $2,915.00,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County Board of Supervisors
for St. Croix County, Wisconsin in the interest of promoting more ap-
propriate facilities for the care and treatment of juveniles, particular-
ly in the area of detention and evaluation of needs for delinquents and
status offenders, accepts said Grant and authorizes the County to enter
into the appropriate contracts for the services wherever available,
from the General Fund to the Social Services Department, who will be the
Fiscal Agent®
