RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE AMENDMENT OF
WISCONSIN STATUTES 70.99(1) COUNTY ASSESSOR
RESOLUTION # 7 C. =�
WHEREAS Wisconsin Statutes 70.99 (1) in part provides as follows:
"A county assessor system may be
established for any county by passage of
• resolution or ordinance adopting such
• system by an approving vote of 60% of
the entire membership of the county boar]
WHEREAS the Wisconsin legislative bodies at Madison, Wisconsin have
1�resently under consideration an amendment to the above statute whereb�y

proving vote would be changed to 50% of the entire membership of
Wisconsin county board; and
WHEREAS the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors has considered the
proposed amendment and believes that it is in the best interest of Wisconsin
counZ) government and the citizens of the State of Wisconsin that the
BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that it
herewith opposes any amendment to the percentage of the membership of --a
Wisconsin county board required for the establishiig of a county -wiz,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is appropriate that Wisconsin Statutl
70.99(l) not be amended and that it be retained to read as follows:
"A county assessor system may be

entire membership of the county board"
r-E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution
opposing the amendment of Wisconsin Statutes 70.99(l) as above described
be sent to the Honorable Patrick J. Lucey, Governor of the State of Wisconsin,
and the Honorable Leo 0. Mohn, Assemblyman for St® Croix County, and State Senator
Michele G. Radosevich.
