Resolution
WHEREAS, for the past three years Attorney James L. Everson
has served with distinction on labor -negotiations for St® Croix
WHEREAS, on April 5, 1977, Attorney Everson was involved in a
fatal automobile accident on Highway 29 about a mile west of Highway
WHEREAS, Mr. Everson at all times demonstrated the qualities
of leadership, integrity, diligence and competency that were a credit
• his profession and family, arre,
WHEREAS, r® Everson acquired extensive professional experience
as a labor attorney representing numerous school districts, cities,
counties, and private companies, and further lectured extensively at
various school board, municipal and private labor schocls and con-
ferences, and was considered by many people to be one of the foremost
experts in labor law in the State of Wisconsin, and
WHEREAS, Mr. • took great care in all his work and enjoyeM
professional writing which -included numerous articles, and. was a con-
tributing author to a book entitled, "Public Employment Labor Relations"
which was published by the Wisconsin Bar Association in 1974, and
WHEREAS, the tributes paid him by officials of management and
labor were unanimous in their expression of personal ana professional
respect, and
WHEREAS, the members of this elected body in recognition of this
type of life service, to family, community, profession and God, wish to
take this opportunity to place this memoriam on the permanent pages of
its legislative records as sincere profession of appreciation for all the
characteristics, accomplishments, and qualities that this unique man pro-
vided to so many, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors duly assembled this 20th day of April, 1977 do unanimously
adopt this resolution and expresstheirmost sincere sympathy to all
the members of his family at this sad and tragic time®
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the suitably prepared original copies
of this Resolution be sent to Mrs. James L. Everson, 1247 Elm Street,
vvausau, Wisconsin 54401.
