Title VII - Nutrition Program for the Elderly
BE IT RESOLVED that the County Board of the County of St.
Croix County, Wisconsin, hereby determines that there is a need of
a Title VII Nutrition and supportive services program to operate
in St. Croix County in cooperation with the State of Wisconsin
Bureau on Aging.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County
Board Chairman be hereby directed to appoint an Ad Hoc Advisory
Committee of County Board Members (optional) and others to initiate
planning for the development and organizing of a Nutrition Project.
And that the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee will be replaced by a perma-
nent Nutrition Project Council within six months after the project
is in operation. At least 51% of the membership of the permanent
Project Council shall be program participants elected from meal sites
and the remaining appointed members broadly representative of the
major public and private agencies and organizations related to
aging in the area covered by the Nutrition Project, local government
officials and other persons who are knowledgeable in the special
needs of the elderly.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the intentions of the St. Croix
County Board is to develop a Title VII Project where feasible in
cooperation with an adjoining county or counties in order to effect
a more efficient program management and judicious expenditure of the
Nutrition Project funds.
