WHEREAS, an error was made on the 1975 taxroll by
reason of the erroneous payment of taxes by one Herbert P. Cress,
of $92.73, on the following described property:
Southeast Quarter (SE3) of Southeast
Quarter (SE4), Section 11, Township 31
North, Range 15 West, Except the North.
7 feet of the South 40 feet, of the
West 626 feet also the North 5.5
feet of the South 55 feet of East 749
feet; also North 12 Feet of the South
45 feet for Highway, St. Croix County,
Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, the taxes on the foregoing property, as
indicated by the Town Board of the Town of Forest, have not, in
fact been paid by the owner of the property, Leroy Reindahl,
and upon refund of the erroneously paid amount of $92.73, the
taxes for 1975 on the above described property, be deemed
delinquent and that the County Treasurer be authorized to
expunge the payment on the record and show the above.described
property delinquent, and
WHEREAS, the Town Treasurer of the Town of Forest,
did through normal procedure, deposit with the County Treasurer
the above $92.73 erroneously paid, and this $92.73 in order to
correct the records of the County Treasurer, as well as the Town
Treasurer's records, should be refunded to the Town Treasurer of
Forest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County
Treasurer be ordered and authorized to expunge the payment of
taxes on the above described property and that he should enter
upon the taxroll that the above described property is delinquent
for the year 1975, and the County Treasurer is further authorized
to draft and remit to the Town Treasurer the sum of $92.73.
