HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1977 (39)RESOLUTION ADOPTING ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE A'RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR THE HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICERS OFCOUNTY OF ST. CROIX. Resolution # j 1q, WHEREAS, it has previously been determined by the St® Croix County Highway Committee that Highway Patrol Officers must live in assigned school districts in order to provide more adequate protection of the public, more effective response time to an emer- gency situation, and other similar considerations, and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of St® Croix County to set forth this determination by the Highway Committee in ordinance form, and WHEREAS, the Highway Committee does recommend the adoption of such an ordinance, and WHEREAS, the attached Ordinance fully satisfies the determina- tion and policy previously made by the Highway Committee and is recommended by said Committee for passage, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the St® Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session that the attached or- dinance, An Ordinance To Provide a Residency Requireinent For the Highway Patrol Officers of the County of St® Croix, is hereby adopted in its entirety; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is directed to publish the ordinance as required by law® Dated this Liday of May, 1977.
