FEDERATED LIBRARY SYSTEM.
Resolution #
WHEREAS, in accordance with Wisconsin Statute 43.11(1)
a County Library Planning Committee has previously been appointed
by the St® Croix County Board of Supervisors, and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statute 43.11(3) provides that such
Committee shall investigate the potential for, and prepare a plan
for, the organization of a multi -county library system; and
WHEREAS, membership in a multi -county library system
would, at no additional cost or loss of autonomy, improve the
quality and quantity of library services available to St® Croix
County residents by coordinating resources of participating
libraries throughout an eleven county area,,hereafter known as
the Indianhead Federated Library System; and
WHEREAS, the St® Croix County Library Planning Committee
has developed and approved of a proposal for such multi -county
system,(See attachment A);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AND IS HEREBY RESOLVED by
the St. -Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular
session, that St® Croix County hereby expresses its desire to
become a member of the Indianhead Federated Library System and
to enter into the appropriate contractual agreement with the
various participating municipalities involved®
