FAVOR ASSEMBLY BILL 588
WHEREAS, current law only permits an advisory county referenda
election to be held for certain limited reasons; and
WHETFAS, from time to time, other situation arise where it would
also be desireable to hold an advisory referenda election; and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin County Boards Association, at their 1976
convention, voted to support legislation that would'authorize such
referenda elections; and
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 588 has been introduced to accomplish this®
NOW 'WHEREFORE BE IT; RESOLVED,by the St® Croix County Board of
Supervisors, that this Board go on .record as being in favor of Assembly
Bill 588; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to
the Governor, each legislator representing a portion of St. Croix County,
members of the Assembly Committee on Local Affairs, each County Board
Chairman, and the Wisconsin County Boards' Association
