EMERGENCY FUEL AND UTILITIES ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

RESOLUTION NUMBER
WHEREAS, the 1977-79 Wisconsin Biennial Budget Bill provides
for an Emergency Fuel and Utilities Program with funding to be distri-
buted by the Wisconsin State Department of Health and Social Services
(49.055 Wis. Stats.); and
WHEREAS, the program is optionalin each County, requires 25%
County sharing funds, and is a loan program limited to $150.00 per
eligible household per year; and
t4HEREAS, the State allocation for St. Croix County is $7,040.00
to be shared on a 75 - 25/ basis as follows: State Share - $5,280.00;
County Share - $1,760.00; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Social Services Committee reviewed
the Program on November 4, 1977, and recommends the development of the
Program here in St. Croix County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors, in regular session, that the St. Croix County Department
of Social Services be instructed to develop, implement and distribute
the funds under the Emergency Fuel and Utilities Assistance Program;, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the St. Croix County Clerk be
instructed to transfer funds from Account dumber 5361 (14elfare Administra-
tion) to Account [dumber 5365 (Emergency Energy Crisis Program) in the
amount of $1,760.00 to provide for the County's 25% share of the Program
allocation for the period of July 1, 1977, through June 30, 1978.

After January 1, 1978, funds reserved for counties but not requested by
