Whereas, the Personnel Committee has met and negotiated with the various.
bar gaining units in the County; and, I
Whereas, the Personnel Committee has been authorized by the County Board to
recommend pay adjustments for non -represented personnel; and,
Whereas, the Personnel Committee examined each County position in terms of
job duties and responsibilities; and,
Whereas, it is in the interest of St. Croix County as an employer to grant
salary increases to employees who are not otherwise represented by bargaining
units for the year 1978 to reflect changing economic conditions,
No,w, therefore, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors,
in regular session, that the St, Croix County Board of Supervisors accepts
and implements the 1978 wage and salary recommendations of the Personnel
Committee for the non --represented employees, as attached, hereto, effective
January 1, 1978; and,
Be it further resolved that the County Clerk is hereby authorized to im-
plement the salary and benefits adjustments assti.pilated in attachments
A through D retroactive to January 1, 1978. '

Definiti on
Regular part-time employees are defined as those person;: i:,ho work 20 hours
or more in a normal work week for the erploy_:ng depart-micrit on a year round
basis.
Probation Period
The probation period will be of 6 months duration. A part-time employee
trill be subject to the same policy as full-time f.riiployees in the areas of
extensions and evaluations.
Benefits UDon Completion cf Probation Period
tpon successful completion of the probation periods part-time employees .
w-ill be entitled to pro -rated holiday pay. SicI. leave and vacation ;rill
be accrued per the union contract en a pro -rated basis.
These benefits will be accrued on a pro -rated basis. For e :a_mDle, if an
e?aployee works 4 Lours per day in a de.)artraent that normally �rorks 7 hours
per days, the part --time employee -vrould be granted. 4/7 of the vacation leave
which would be allowed a dull --time employee frith an equivalentnur„ber of
years of service.
Accruing of these benefits are sub j.ect to the ::wme cordi'.ions as required
for full -tide employees except as stated above.
Health Insurance
Regular part. -time employees will be offered the same health insurance
package and County contribution as realized by full-ti_^:e employees at the
onset of their employrr:ent (within the guidelines set for full -tine employees).

contribution to the f;isconsin Retirement Fund as establis;7ed for full-time
employees.

Clarification:

These employees may be working the normal working hours (e.g.8 hours/day)
or less during this limited time period.
No benefits (including holiday pay) will be awarded to these employees
due to the temporary nature of their placement.

employees who were scheduled to receive a forty,(40) dollar per
