AND HOME HEATING FUEL BE REPEALED.
Resolution
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin presently has a surplus
Of some 400 million dollars, and
WHEREAS, Acting Governor Martin Schreiber has indicated to
the Wisconsin Legislature that he recommends that a portion of
the 'surplus be returned to the people of the State of Wisconsin
on a basis of 20 per person, and
WHEREAS9 it is deemed to be in the best interest of residents
of St® Croix County .for the State surplus to be reduced by another
method, and
WHEREAS, should the State Legislature repeal State sales tax
on electricity and hone heating fuel, the result would be a.bene
fit to all residents of St. Croix County,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the St® Croix County Board o
Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that said Board of Super-
visors recommends to the State Legislature that the State sales tax
on electricity and home heating fuel be repealed®
