WHEREAS, Acting Governor Martin Schreiber has
recently appointed .x,
the
entire Wisconsin tax structurep and
WHEREAS,
the State of Wisconsin has a present
State surplus of some million, an
WHEREAS, Wiscon&jg Statutes § 3€ .16 provides for
a district tax levy for vocational, technical and. adult
education purposes, and
WHEREAS, whether directly or indirectlyo vocationalt
technical and adult education benefits all residents of St.
Croix Countyq and the.State of Wisconsin,and
: repealing jisconsin Statutes
the State Surplus would.would.be reduced and
the tax levy against
real property would also be reduced, thereby benefitting all
residents of St. Croix County the State of Wisconsin,
NOW THEREFORE SOLO by the St® Croix County
Board of Supervisorst meeting in regular session, that the
St4 Croix County Board of Supervisors recommends to the.Tax
Study Committee that
educa-
tion purposes be repealed by the Wisconsin Legislature®
