RESOLUTION BUDGETING FUNDS FOR ACQUISITION OF THE EASTON PROPERTY FOR THE APPLE
RIVER PARK.
WHEREAS, St. Croix County ,has adopted the. St. Croix County Outdoor
Recreation Plan; and
WHEREAS, this plan calls for development of the Apple River County
Park in the area of its already owned land; and
sale; and
WHEREAS, certain land in the vicinity of the proposed park is for
WHEREAS, St. Croix County is interested in acquiring lands for public
outdoor recreation purposes for the Apple River County Park; and
WHEREAS, financial aid is'needed to carry out the project; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County will only be able to proceed with this
acquisition if state and/or federal funds for at least three -fourths of the
project cost are forthcoming;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors, in regular session, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
transfers $14,000 to complete purchase of the Easton property from the General
Fund to the Park Outlay Account; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that St. Croix County will comply with State
and Federal rules for the programs; may perform force account work in accordance
with Section 59.08(1), Wisconsin Statutes; will maintain the completed project
in an attractive, inviting and safe manner; keep the facilities open to the
general public during reasonable hours consistent with the type of facility;
and will obtain from the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
approval in writing before any change is made in use or in outdoor recreation
use of the project site.
