Ell a W M f, W1 I I I I 1 1.4 a ff, M. cMAK WHEREAS St. Croix County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution #107(75) at the November 13th, 1975 County Board Session opposing the change,from Quarterly Reporting to Monthly Reporting of Social Security payment and, WHEREAS, this action was able to help detour the change on Social. Security Reporting and Remitting for a period of two years and, WHEREAS, the United States Department of Health, Education and Welfare now has issued proposed regulations to require monthly deposits by the states of state and local government Social Security contributions. WHEREAS, after 27 years of intensive effort a smoothly operating procedure for Public Entities sander Social Security has been achieved and been improved from year to year, it is apparent that this proposed change would ruin that proceddre and, WHEREAS, this would cause forwarding funds more often and would entail an extra work load in the County Clerks office, Senators Proxmire and Nelson and our Representative Ealdus be apprised of this proposed change and that they be beseiged to initiate the necessary legislation to prohibit the United States Department of Health, Education and Welfare from king such a change® h Dated this J day of, 1975® GENERAL SERVICES COMMITTEE Negative
