ST. CROIX COUNTY BOARD
RESOLUTION# ,� o
WHEREAS, for the past several months the St. Croix County Sheriff's
Office has been experimenting with a temporary chain of command, involving
one Captain, two Lieutenants, and one Sergeant, and
WHEREAS, the experiment has been largely successful and after much
discussion has been approved of by the LawEnforcement Committee, and
WHEREAS the attached chain of command for the St. Croix County Sheriff's
Office is recommended by the law Enforcement.Committee to be made permanent effect-
ive 7�n'ua^v 1� 197� and
WHEREAS, said chain of command is recommended by the Law Enforcement
Committee to operate under the following conditions:
1. There shall be no pay increase for the indicated new
positions until January 1, 1979.
2. These said positions shall be posted once a salary for the
same has been set by the Personnel Committee.
3. Only present members of the bargaining unit shall be eligible
for hiring; for said new positions.
4. The two new positions for Lieutenants and the new pusicion
for Sergeant shall be working positions, and not just
supervisory positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the attached chain of command
for the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office is hereby adopted, approved and
authorized, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said chain of command shall be effective

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said chain of command shall operate
under the following conditions:
