HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1978 (66)WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statute Section 146.50 and Wisconsin ma _ od • s, 'de n in part,a consin ambulance service providers and ambulance attendants must be licensed by the Department of!Health and Socia1 Services, and 'WHEREAS, on January 1, 1979, all rules administering Section 146®® shall be in effect, and WHEREAS, said rules,in part, provide that each ambulance be staffed by a minimum of two licensed ambulance attendants, and WHEREAS, prior to taking theexamination for the ambulance attendant license, each applicant must take an 81 hour coarse of instruction for the same, to be completed in no more than a six month period, and WHEREAS, other very strict and unreasonable mules exist regarding such matters as: ambulance and equipment standards, communications, and 24 hoer service requirement, and WHEREAS, seller ambulance service providers, using volunteer or paid -on -call ambulance attendants, are being discriminated against since many such providers and attendants are finding it highly impracticable and impossible to comply with said statute and said rule, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDe St. Croix County Board of Supervisors.meeting in regular session, that this County Board strongly` recommends to the Wisconsin. State Legislature, the Governor° of the State of Wisconsin, and the Secretary of the Department of Health and. Social Services that Wisconsin Ste to Section 146.50 and Visconsin Administrative Code -Chapter 20 be either repealed and reenacted,, or amended in order to provide necessary and appropriate.relief for smaller ambulance services in St. Croix County art the State of Wisconsin.
