TO THE ST ® CROIX COUNTY BOARD OF "St; F'r RVISORS
WHEREAS, State Representative Lary Swoboda. has introduced a bill
to eliminate the Inheritance Tax on 'surviving spouses; and
WHEhEAS, it is felt that such a law is long overdue, and:
WHEREAS, g a surviving spouse for property that he or she
y have spent his or her entire life working for seems entirely un-
fair and unjustified; and
WHEREAS, the surviving spouse in many instances has been forced
to selling a. farm or business because of this unfair inheritance tax.
NCB., THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St® Croix County Board of
Supervisors goes on record in support of this bill to Exempt the Surviving
Spouse From The Inheritance Tax®
BE IT FURTHEa 'PESOLVED that our County Clerk forward copies of
this Resolution to Governor Drefus.,,State Senator R dosevich'and State
Assemblyman Harer®
