TO THE ST. CROIX C6UNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS®
WHEREAS, it is against the laws of our land to commit robber-y, and
more so, to commit Armed hobbery; and
'WHEREAS, many times innocent people are shot and killed in an Armed
Robbery; and
MiEREAS, there is no mandatory prison term for anyone convicted of
committing an. Armed Robbery; and
WHEREAS, many times criminals convicted of Armed Robbery receive only
a minor sentence and are soon out on the streets to perform like crimes; and
WHEREAS, a number of states have passed laws raking prison terms man-
datory- for persons convicted of Armed Robbery for a second time and there -
NOW, THE_-iEFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the St® Croix County Board of
supervisors petition our Governor and State Legislature to initiate and pass
laws all a judge to sentence a first offender of Armed Robbery according
to his judgement and up to five years® The sentence for a second offense of
Armed Robbery shall be a mandatory minimum Of five years® And any further
conviction of Armed Robbery shall be a mandatory ten years for each offense®

Resolution to Governor Dreyfus., State Senator hadosevich and State
