PRIVATE AIRSTRIPS IN ST. CROIX COUNTY.

WHEREAS, the subject of private airstrips in St. Croix
County has been previously discussed by the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, it appears that better procedures must be deve-
loped by St. Croix County relating to the creation and the
regulation of private airstrips within St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, such procedures are presently being developed
for St. Croix County but are not as yet completed; and
WHEREAS, it is important that a 90 day moratorium period
be immediately established by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors so that such private airstrips will not proliferate
without these new procedures being in force;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, that a 90 day moratorium period be immediately
established on the creation of new private airstrips in St. Croix
County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board Of Adjustments and the
Zoning Committee is hereby instructed not to permit any new pri—
vate airstrips in St. Croix County until the termination of the
90 day moratorium period.
