DESTRUCTION OF OBSOLETE COUNTY RECORDS
WHEREAS, the statues currently only provide for the destruction of
specific obsolete records, and
WHEREAS, the retention of numerous other obsolete records creates a
serious space problem; and
WHEREAS,, the types of records change too often to rrake it logical for
e legislature to continue to establish d . estruction schedules; and
WHEREAS. -Assembly Bill 114 would provide that a Co ter Board could
establish.its own retention schedule.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,, by the St® Croix County Board of Super-
v3.sors2 that this Board go on record as being in opposition of Bill 114;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that our County.Clerk forward copies of this
Resolution to Governor Dreyfus, State Senator Radosevich and State Assembly-
man
