Resolution#
WHEREAS,Walter W. Strey is, and was, an officer of St®
Croix County, at all times relevant to this resolution, and
WHEREAS, Walter ti,% Strey was charged with an offense
against the State of Wisconsin, in the Circuit Court for St.
Croix County, the acts upon which such charges were based were
performed while Walter W. Strey was acting as and -within the
scope of his duties as an officer of St® Croix County, and
';THIEREAS, these charges against Walter d. Strey were dis-
missed by the Circuit Court for St® Croix County, after due
consideration and there are no charges now pending against
him, and
WHEREAS, Walter W. Strey reasonably incurred attorney's
fees for representation in defending against these charges
after the county or its insurers refused to provide legal
representation, and:
WHEREAS, said costs and attorney's fees amount to "2,511®93,
and
WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 895.35 of the Wisconsin
Statutes provide authorizations for counties to reimburse its
officers for attorney's fees and costs so incurred
NOIPm' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the St® Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the county re
imburse Walter W. Strey for costs and attorney's fees in the
amount of a2,511®93�
