RESOLUTION TO INCREASE WITNESS FEES
WHEREAS, Section 885.05 (1) (d) of the Wisconsin Statutes now provides
that the County Board may establish witness fees and mileage
fees for witnesses who appear on behalf of the state, and,
WHEREAS, The per diem fee and mileage fee for witnesses that has been in
effect for the past several years is $5.00/day and 12C/mile,and,
WHEREAS, The increase in travel costs warrant a more equitable reimbursement -
for witnesses who appear on behalf of the state, and,
WHEREAS, Other counties in this district are requesting increases for
witness fees, and
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, The St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
establish the fee for every witness on behalf of the state at
$10.00 per day and 17G per mile.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the effective date of said increase be the first dap of
March,1980..
