Resolution Amending the St. Croix County
Outdoor Recreation Plan
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors adopted the
St. Croix County Outdoor Recreation Plan in 1975; and
WHEREAS, such plan has as its goal "Quality park facilities and
varied recreational opportunities and experiences to meet the needs of County
residents, both now and in the future"; and
WHEREAS, public access to water bodies enhances the recreational
opportunities of county residents; and
WHEREAS, the usefulness of existing public access on Bass Lake has
been reduced due to high water conditions,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Board of Supervisors
in regular session hereby amends the St. Croix County Outdoor Recreation Plan
to call for a new public access on Bass Lake; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
recommends that the access be improved to allow for off-street parking; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors recommends that such access be owned and maintained by the State
DNR.
