St. Croix Health Center Certificate of Need
For Replacement of 130 Nursing Home Beds
WHEREAS, It has been determined by the Division of Health that
the 1897 building no longer meets code for providing nursing
home services, and
WHEREAS, It had been determined that it would be economically
unfeasible to remodel the existing 1897 building, and
WHEREAS, It is required that the County submit a proposal for
a Certificate of Need to replace the Nursing Home, and
WHEREAS, It is necessary for the County Board of Supervisors
to authorize the County Board Chairman or a designee
to submit the Certificate of Need, and
WHEREAS, It is necessary for the County Board of Supervisors
to commit themselves to a certain amount of monies
via bonding:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors:
Authorize the County Board Chairman and the County Clerk
to sign the endorsement to submit the Certificate of Need
to replace 130 nursing home beds, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon obtaining a Certificate of
Need, the County Board of Supervisors will obtain bonding
not to exceed 3.5 million dollars which will include the
contingency fund.
