ADOPTING DISTRICT OVERALL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has been an active participant in the
West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has seen a need to undertake its own
local comprehensive planning program; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County is not statistically qualified to
complete its own Overall Economic Development Program for approval by
the Economic Development Administration, based on current unemployment
rates and economic conditions; and
WHEREAS, the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission
has completed a District Overall Economic Development Program which
is based, in part, upon input provided by St. Croix County.
NOW, -.THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that St. Croix County endorses
the District Overall Economic Development Program (OEDP) Annual Report
1980-1981, as it includes an accurate reflection of current conditions and
needs for St. Croix County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that St. Croix County intends to plan
for economic growth and development at the local level through its
Planning and Zoning Committee and to coordinate these efforts with the
West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission.
