HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1980 (52)RESOLUTION NO. -2- jv) APPLICATION AUTHORIZATION FOR WI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE DURING 1981 UNDER SECTION 85.08 (5) OF WI STATUTES WHEREAS, Section 85.08(5) of the Wisconsin Statutes authorizes the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to make grants to the counties of Wisconsin for the purpose of assisting- them in providing specialized transportation services to the elderly and the handicapped; and WHEREAS, each grant must be matched with a local share of not less than 10% of each county's allocation of state aids; and WHEREAS, this body considers that the provision of specialized transportation services would improve and promote the maintenance of human dignity and self- sufficiency of the elderly and the handicapped; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of St. Croix County on this �� day of 1980, authorizes the Office on Aging to prepare and submit to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation an application for assistance during 1981 under Section 85.08(5) of the Wisconsin Statutes, in conformance with the requirements issued by that Department and also authorizes the obligation of funds in the amount as identified in Exhibit C of the application in order to provide the required local match. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of St. Croix County authorizes the Office on Aging to execute a state aid contract with the Wis- consin Department of Transportation under Section 85.08(5) of the Wisconsin Statutes on behalf of St. Croix County.
