WHEREAS, in 1935, St. Croix County took a tax deed on Lots 1,2,3, and
Lots 56 to 63 inclusive, all in Block "J" of the Village of Hammond, and
WHEREAS, in 1934, the Village of Hammond acquired the above described
real estate from the State Banking Commission and has owned it to the present
time, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Hammond has recently entered into a purchase
contract with the Joint School District No. 1 of the Village of Hammond and
Roberts, et al, and
WHEREAS, to clear record title to the above described real estate, it
is necessary for St. Croix County to quit -claim its interest in said real
estate to the Village of Hammond, and
WHEREAS, as of the time of the acquisition of the said tax deed by St.
Croix County, the amount of delinquent taxes on said real estate was $8.33,
and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County may not charge the Village of Hammond accrued
interest in the amount of $8.33, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the St. Croix County Board of Super-
visors, meeting in regular session, that the County Board Chairman and County
Clerk be authorized to execute a quit -claim deed to the Village of Hammond for
the above described real estate upon payment to the County of $8.33 by the
Village of Hammond.
