RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE SINGLE AUDIT CONCEPT
WHEREAS, most counties are now undergoing several audits each year for the
same or similar programs; some audits being done 2 or 3 years after the fact; and
WHEREAS, these duplicate audits result in additional administrative time
being spent on the part of county officials and increased costly delays in knowing
the financial status of different departments; and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin County Boards Association can be influential in
bringing about the needed changes of the single audit concept.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
goes on record requesting that the Wisconsin County Boards Association actively
promote the implementation of a single audit concept in the State of Wisconsin.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be sent to the
Executive Director of the Wisconsin. County Boards Association for presentation
at their Convention in September, 1982
