Resolution #
WHEREAS, Resolution #26 (73) created the St. Croix County Council
on Aging, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution dictated that the Council on Aging be com-
posed of ten persons, three from the County Board of Supervisors and seven
representatives of community interests, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution stated that each member serve for an appointed
period of three years, and
WHEREAS, recently the St. Croix County Council on Aging passed certain
by-laws for said organization, which by-laws recommended that the Council be
reduced in its membership to nine members, and
WHEREAS, the recent trend for length of terms for committee members has
beer; two year terms for each member upon appointment by the County Board Chair-
man,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors,
meeting in regular session, that Resolution # 26 (73) be amended reducing the
Council on Aging members to nine, three of whom shall be County Board Super-
visors, one member from each existing senior citizen center presently total

ling ftve; namely Glenwood City, Hudson, Somerset, Woodville, New Richmond,
and River Falls.
ESL:, IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms for each member of the Council on
Aging shall be Uor a period of two years, commencing upon appointment; by tide
St. Croix County Board Chairman.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these changes in membership and length of
term for members of the Council on Aging shall be effective as of January 1,
1983.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all other respects, Resolution #26 (73)
remains in full force and effect..?
