WHEREAS, the 1983 budget for the office of Coroner for St. Croix
County has been set by the County Board at $6,000, and
WHEREAS, a compensation schedule for the office of Coroner for
St. Croix County and his appointed Deputy Coroners has not been set
for the year 1983, and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Section 59.15(1) authorizes the County
Board to establish the annual compensation for the office of Coroner for
St.Croix County, and
WHEREAS, the Health Committee of the St. Croix County Board, the
parent committee for the office of Coroner, has met and has reviewed
various compensation schedules in surrounding counties for the office
of Coroner and has made its recommendation to the Finance, Budget, Build-
ing and Bond Committee and to the County Board of Supervisors as set forth
below.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Super-
visors, meeting in regular session, that the following shall be the com-
pensation schedule for the office of Coroner for St. Croix County for the
budget year 1983 and for subsequent years until changed by the County
Board:
$40 for the first four hours of any Coroner or Deputy
Coroner call.
After the first four hours of any particular such call,
$5.50 per hour shall be the rate of pay.
Any such call includes travel time.
Official mileage shall be reimbursed at the rate of $.20
per mile.
Attendance at any county committee meeting or board meeting,
when requested to attend by the Health Committee, shall be
reimbursed at the rate of $25 per half -day, and $40 per
full day.
All administrative, seminar, or conference expenses shall be
first approved by the Health Committee and shall be included
in the annual itemized budget for the office of Coroner.
