INTENT & SYNOPSIS: Inform Governor Earl of St. Croix County's position on
proposed budget cut.
WHEREAS, Governor Anthony Earl proposed to eliminate state aid to
county fairs, and
WHEREAAS, this would reduce St. Croix County's State Aid $5,427.12; and
WHEREAS, this would weaken the incentives of Youth Exhibitors to enter
their fair projects in competition; and
WHEREAS, budgets have already been set for 1983 and a cut at this time
would not be popular.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors that we go on record opposing Governor Anthony Earl's proposal to
abolish state aid to county fairs,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION be sent to
Governor Earl and St. Croix County's State Legislators;
