WHEREAS, a Telephone Study Committee -was appointed by the
Finance, Budget, Building and Bond Committee to study the issue of
whether or not the courthouse complex needs a new telephone system, and
WHEREAS, after a lengthy and comprehensive study, said committee
has recommended to the Finance, Budget, Building and Bond Committee
that a new telephone system be purchased for the courthouse complex, and
WHEREAS, said committee has further recommended to the Finance,
Budget, Building and Bond Committee that the Honeywell Tblephone System
best suits the courthous& complex needs, and
WHEREAS, the Finance, Budget, Building and Bond Committee has
referred the issue of the financing for said telephone system to the
Finance Director for his study, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has conducted such a study and
together with the Finance, Budget, Building, and Bond Committee has
determined that the most advantageous method of financing such a telephone
system would be, to borrow from the State Trust Fund,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that St. Croix County enter into
a contractual agreement with Honeywell, for the purchase of a telephone
system for the courthouse complex, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Board Chairman and the
County Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such a contract with Honeywell,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that St. Croix County shall apply to the
State Trust Fund for a loan sufficient to cover the purchase price for
such a new telephone system for the courthouse complex in the amount of
approximately $70,000.
