HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1983 (33)RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE PASSAGE OF ASSEMBLY BILL 344 Resolution # 3-3r-3' WHEREAS, under the provisions of Assembly Bill 344, counties and municipalities could be required to pay interest on retroactive payments of wages and monetary fringe benefits granted under arbitration awards, and WHEREAS, there appear to be a number of counties and cities opposing such legislation since it would motivate unions to prolong negotiations and grant monetary increases not bargained, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the St. Croix County Board of Super- visors, meeting in regular session, that the St. Croix County Board does hereby go on record in opposing the passage of Assembly Bill 344, or any similar legislation, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be directed to submit a copy of this resolution to the legislative representative of St. Croix County, Wisconsin Governor Earl, and the Wisconsin Counties Association.
