HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1983 (45)RESOLUTION INCREASING NUMBER OF DAYS FOR WHICH COMPENSATION AND MILEAGE MAY BE PAID A COMMITTEE MEMBER TO 120 DAYS PER YEAR Resolution #� J> WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Section 59.06(2)(b) permits County Boards by a two-thirds vote of the members present to increase the number of days for which compensation and mileage may be paid a committee member in any year; and WHEREAS, Resolution # 2 (Sept. 19, 1970) increased the number of committee meetings for which compensation and mileage may be paid a committee member in any one year from 30 days to 75 days; and WHEREAS, the General Services Committee has studied the effect of limiting service by committee members to 75 days per year and has concluded that the number of days for which compensation and mileage may be paid a committee member in any one year should be increased to 120 days per year. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the number of days for which compensation and mileage may be paid a committee member in any one year is hereby increased from 75 days to 120 days, effective October 18th, 1983. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall not affect members of committees appointed to have charge of the erection of any county building and further, shall not effect the compensation and mileage paid to the County Board Chairman as otherwise provided by law or by resolution.
