West Central Area Business Meeting
Election of officers was held: Chairman-Jody Hahn, Vice Chairman -Ron Raymond,
.Secretary/Treasurer -Jean Schomisch.
Heise presented and provided a handout on WALCE's position on the staff funding formula.
West Central Area Association went on record to support WALCE's position as stated in the
handout.
West Central Area Summer Tour
The tour sites included:
*River Falls High School (Kinnickinnic Watershed cost - shared practices)
-Town of Troy Transfer of Development Rights — Dan Pearson
*Lunch at Homestead Parklands
*Prairie Flats — Squaw Lake (restoration of two wetlands designed to filter phosphorus
laden spring runoff water as well as the adoption of best management practices by
the watershed farming community)

*Pine Lake easements (Dale & Gloria Fern, Len & Margaret Litzner, and Mike & June
Hamerski)
