Chair Jan Zoerb called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Present: Lois Burri, Jan Zoerb, Dave Fodroczi, Ellen Denzer, Bob Heise, Rod Eslinger,
Jennifer Emmerich and Brad Roy. Also present were 12 audience members, a sign -in sheet is
available listing those who attended.
Chair Zoerb welcomed everyone to the meeting and announced that the evening's agenda
would consist of information and discussion of revisions or amendments to the Chapter 12
Sanitary Ordinance, Chapter 13 Land Division Ordinance and Chapter 17 Zoning Ordinance.
She then turned the meeting over to Planning Director Dave Fodroczi.
Fodroczi performed staff introductions and gave background on the previous work, meetings,
public hearing and mailings leading up to tonight's meetings. Utilizing a PowerPoint
presentation (copies available) he reviewed the timeline for adoption that the committee is
working through and the process of adoption for each of the three ordinances or ordinance
amendments. Tonight's meeting and a second meeting tomorrow night at WITC in New
Richmond are information meetings to present changes and answer questions. On Thursday,
June 24 at WITC in New Richmond, a public hearing will be held to hear comments on the
proposed ordinances. There will be a comment period through 5 p.m. on July 2 "d to submit
written comments and then the Committee and staff will review comments and work on
possible changes based on those comments.
Fodroczi explained that copies of the timeframe, summaries of ordinance changes and hard
copies of all the ordinances with strike -outs and additions marked are available tonight.
These materials are also available for pick up at the Zoning Department or by download from
the County's web site. The timeframe identifies meetings dates from May through August
when the Committee may move the proposed ordinance amendments forward to the County
Board for action.
Fodroczi and Interim Zoning Administrator Rod Eslinger presented information on the
proposed ordinance changes. A PowerPoint handout is available with the complete
presentation. Fodroczi reviewed changes in all three ordinances relative to conservation
design development. Eslinger reviewed the general changes in the three ordinances.
A question and answer period followed with time spent on any ordinance changes people had
questions about and the adoption procedures for each ordinance.
Chair Zoerb thanked everyone for attending and closed the meeting at 9:05 p.m.
