PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
ST. CROIX COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER, HUDSON WI
MAY 19, 2004
Present: Supervisors Jan Zoerb, Lois Burri, Buck Malick, Brian Hurtgen, Wally Habhegger.
Staff: Dave Fodroczi, Rod Eslinger, Jon Sonnentag, Ellen Denzer, Bob Heise, Peter Kling.
Guests: Peggy Rode, Louis Campbell, Maureen Ash, Judy Wiff - Hudson Star Observer, County
Board Supervisor Julie Speer.
Adoption of the Agenda -Chair Zoerb called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. Motion by
Malick, 2 nd by Burri to adopt the agenda and carried.
Next Meeting Date - Tuesday, May 25, 9:00 a.m.
ORDINANCE DEVELOPMENT: SANITARY /SUBDIVISION /ZONING
Review of Ordinance Development Process and Timeframe - Fodroczi summarized history of
ordinance development during the last year and the initial public hearing process conducted in
February. He then presented the current ordinance timeframe approved by this Committee for
County Board action in August. He indicated that all meeting locations had been confirmed for
the affected dates.
Review and Discussion of Previous Public Comments - Fodroczi reviewed a handout
summarizing the public hearing comments on the ordinances from the February public hearing.
The summary was organized according to comments from the general public, development
community and local officials. The Committee discussed the nature, extent and sources of the
comments.
Review and Discussion of Possible Ordinance Revisions - Eslinger reviewed proposed changes
to the Sanitary Ordinance based on the comments received from the public hearing and
informational meetings. Discussion. Denzer then presented proposed changes to the Land
Division Ordinance based on the comments received from the public hearing and informational
meetings. The Committee review and discussion continued through page 39 of the current
working draft of the ordinance. The Committee members agreed that they would continue their
review from that point at the next Committee meeting on May 25
The meeting was declared adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
