Klanderman DATE: October 11, 2004 COPIES TO:County Clerk News Media /Notice Board Committee Members M St. Croix county Traffic Safety Commission meeting was held October 20, 2004 at the Sheriff's Department in Hudson at 1:30PM. Present were: Charles Grant, Doris Peterson, Dennis Johnson Jim Harer, Greg Helgeson, Miles Wittig Buzz - Marzol - f — P� - Dabsnzzi - and- - Bow K i andernian. Meeting was called to order by Chairman Klanderman. Motion to adopt the agenda made, seconded and approved. Motion to accept minutes of April 21, 2004 was made and approved. UNFINISHED BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS Mr. Helgeson stated DOT put a concrete barrier at hwy 64 and former 23 St to solve traffic complaints. Mr. Helgeson discussed the issue of backups on south side ramp of I94 and Hwy 65. Resurfacing there is scheduled for 2008 and traffic lights could go in then. DOT will continue to monitor the situation. Mr. Marzolf stated he received a call reference Co Rd F and E Cove Rd intersection. Mr. Harer stated the Highway Department has been in contact with some developers reference this issue. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Johnson stated Wisconsin has had 619 fatalities so far in 2004. At this time in 2003 there were 680. St. Croix County has had 10 so far this year. Mr. Johnson stated the graduated license program is working. The state has declared that the new little scooters cannot be driven on public roads. The .08 law is effective. Mr. Johnson passed out winter driving tip sheets and also snowplowing guidelines for state roads. ADJOURNMENT Meeting was adjourned at 2:20PM. Respectfully submitted, Pam Dabruzzi
