Board called to order by Chairman Anderson.
Invocation by Father Robert O'Connell, St. Patrick1s Catholic Church of Hudson.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag by all present.
Roll Call by the Clerk. 29 present. 2 absent.
Motion by Superv. Rock, 2nd by Superv. O'Connell to accept the minutes of the
previous session as written and mailed to each County Board member. "-lotion
carried.
A NOUNCENEHTS
Chairman Anderson read Rules 19 and 21 as follows: "14henever any member is to
speak or deliver any mat'.er to the Board he shall rise and address himself to
the Chair, confine his remarks, to the question under debate and avoid personalities.
The member who shall rise2 to address the Chair shall speak first. Nhen 2 members

CORRESPONDE MCE
County Clerk Stohlberg read a letter from Superv. Heiting. A thank you card
from Superv. Holmes and a letter from the Fond Du Lac County !Iisconsin County
Board Association Convention Committee with County Board Convention information,
The Convention is to be held on September 21-24, 1980. Convention and housing
registration forms were erelosed.
Chairman Anderson announced the elate of the next session, June 10, 1900 at
7:00 P.M. He also announced -that the notice of this meeting has been published
in the official media of tha County as prescribed by law.
Superv. Best congratulated Chairman xiorman E. Anderson for having been elected
to represent the Ilisconsirr, County Boards Associations tJest Central District on the
State Associations Board of Directors.

RESOLUTION # 27(87): Pertains to deferrment of funds to reduce the 1981 Tax Levy.

RESOLUTI%i # 28 80 : Pertains to adopting the salary schedule for Elected County
Officials for 1981-1982 term of office. Plotion by Superv. Boche, 2nd by Superv.
Pierson to amend the resolution to read to increase the 1982 salary by `11,000.00
over the 1981 salary and that no further increases be given during the term.
Motion carried on the amendment.
Roll Call called for resulted in 19 yes, 10 no. Notion carried and Resolution
# 28(80) adopted as amended.
RESOLUTION # 29(80). Pertains to raising room and board for prisoners of St. Croix
County Jail to �20.00 per day per prisoner. Motion by Superv. Rock, 2nd by Superv.
Day to adopt. [lotion carried and Resolution # 29(80) adopted.
.RESOLUTION -# 30(80): Pertains to tentative Highway Construction Programs on

Ordinance # 36(80) adopted.
Ordinance pertaining to a St. Croix County Building Code, motion by Superv.
Boche, 2nd by Superv. Hop tF, adopt. Motion by Superv. Rock, 2nd by Suporv.Handlos
to tame the Ordinance. Motion carried to table.

Superv. Rock, Chairman of Comprehensive Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee
with reference to the progress of the Solis! 14ast^ Program, reported that the
Coniprehc-i sive Planning, Zoning avid Parks Committee has contracted with Donohue
and Assoc ates, Fau Claire, t;isconsin to do the study. !discussion was held
regarding the so: ed waste .-,toblems and different disposal programs.

County Clerk Stohlberg reported that she has received two requests for rezoning.

Stohl"erg stated s;?e has referred both of these requests to the Couroty Planning,
Zoning and Parks Committee.
Superv. Boche, Chairman of General Services Committee stated that there had
been a typographical error on pane 9 in the Rules and Rcgulat-oons of Stanriing
and Elective Committee. Sec. 52.99 should read Sec. 59.99. He also stated that
the Committee has been discussing that they felt it would be concurrent if all
Committees had two year terms , The Fri ghway Committee can be e`i ected for a tvio
year tern instead of one year according to changes in the 14isconsin Statutes.
[Motion by Superv. Goche, 2nd by Superv. Brown that the Rules be amended to
read all appointed and elected Committees be for a two year term. Motion by
Superv. Lowe, 2nd by Superv. O'Keefe to table the motion until the next session
with the District Attorney to research 02 possibility of changing the Highway
Committee's term from one vc;ar to a t.%io year term after the election of the
Hignw7y Committee had been ht!ld for a one year term. Motion carried.
Superv. Pierson and Superv. R. Peterson discussed the new location of the
County Library and Chairman Anderson called upon Superv. Rock, Chairman of the
Finance, Budget, Building and Bond Committee to explain and to brin` the County
Board members up to date regarding the bids for the Library site.
Superv. O'Keefe questioner! Superv. Heinite to report on what had happened
regarding the v.,eight restrictions on St. Croix County Trunk Highways.
Superv. Neinke and District attorney Lundell proceeded to report on what has
happened up to date regarding the spring weight restrictions.

iiILEAGE 8 PER DIEM
Mileage and Per Diem for the one night session read by the Clerk totaled
$1,368.20. Motion by Superv. Sias, 2nd by Superv. O'Connell to accept the report.
Notion carried.
RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCE -1ST READING
Ordinance and Resolutions read by the Clerk as follows:
I. Pertains to petitioning the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors to amend the
St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance. Copies at their desks should be brought
back for the next session. Ordinance held for next session.
2. Resolution pertains to transferring funds from the Road Construction -County
Trunk Highway System to the County Maintenance and Snow Removal Fund: Held for
next session.
3. Pertains to creating th Solid Waste Planning Advisory Committee. Chairman
AndZi,son referred the resolution vo the District Attorney.
4. Pertains to amending Resolution authorizing St. Croix County's

5. Pertains to recommending changes in the Stage Ag Land Preservation Law.Chairman
