RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE
COUNTY SUPERVISORY DISTRICT PLAN
Resolution No. 413 (26 o )
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, every ten years the United States Census Bureau conducts a census
of the population and provides population counts to the State of Wisconsin and local
municipalities; and
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin delivered detailed population data and block -
level maps to St. Croix County on March 25, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes sec. 59.10(3) requires each county to adopt a
new county supervisory district plan based on the population data block -level maps; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes sec. 59.10(3)(b)1. requires each county to first
adopt a tentative county supervisory district plan within 60 days of receiving the
population data and block -level maps; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes sec. 59.10(3)(b)1. also requires each county to
hold a public hearing to solicit suggestions from the public and local municipalities before
adopting the tentative county supervisory district plan; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was held on May 12, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the tentative county supervisory district plan, a copy of which is
attached to this resolution, contains supervisory districts which are substantially equal in
population.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
hereby adopts the attached tentative county supervisory district plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
directs the Administration Committee and Planning and Zoning Department staff to
transmit copies of the tentative county supervisory district plan to each municipal
governing body in the county.
