BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Janet DeYoung has applied to rezone six (6) acres of land from the R-1 Residential District to
the Ag-1 Agricultural District in the Town of Rush River.
A Class II notice was published in the Star Observer on February 1, 2024, and February 8, 2024,
establishing a public hearing on February 15, 2024, at 5:00 PM with the St. Croix County
Community Development Committee (CDC) in the St. Croix County Government Center Board
Room, 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin.
The staff report/recommendation and rezoning application materials are included in the agenda
packet.

AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION
3, TOWNSHIP 28N, RANGE 17W, TOWN OF RUSH RIVER -
REZONING SIX (6) ACRES FROM R-1 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO
AG-1 AGRICULTURAL ZONING DISTRICT
1 The St. Croix County Board of Supervisors does hereby ordain as follows:

3 The St. Croix County Code of Ordinances, Land Use and Development, for the County of St.
4 Croix, Wisconsin, is hereby amended by rezoning the following property:

6 A parcel of land located in part of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 3,
7 Township 28 North, Range 17 West, Town of Rush River, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, more
8 particularly described as follows:

10 Commencing at the Southeast Corner of said Section 3; thence S89°36'41"W, along the south
11 line of the Southeast quarter of said Section, a distance of 1309.00 feet; thence N00°49'04"W, a
12 distance of 396.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence S89°36'41'W, a distance of 660.00 feet;
13 thence N00°49'04"W, a distance of 396.00 feet; thence N89°36'41"E, a distance of 660.00 feet to
14 the east line of said Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter; thence S00°49'04"E, along said
15 east line, a distance of 396.00 feet to the point of beginning. The described parcel contains
16 261,353 square feet, (6.000 acres), and is subject to easements of record.

18 From R-1 Residential District to AG-1 Agricultural Zoning District

20 The official zoning map of the Town of Rush River on file in the Community Development
21 Department shall be amended in accordance with this ordinance.

23 This ordinance shall be effective upon passage and publication as provided in Wis. Stat. § 59.14.
24 This ordinance shall not be codified.
