COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, ZONING & PARKS COMMITTEE
Meeting of August 20, 1979, called to order by Chairman Pierson at
10:00 a.m. Present were: Supvs. Rock, Best, R. Peterson, George,
Thompson, Afdahl,-Quinn and Pierson.
Also present were: Prof. Richard Lehmann, District Attorney Lundell,
Zoning Administrator, Harold Barber and members of the pilots group.
Discussion on airports and airstrips. Chairman Pierson with
through Attachment A.
Professor Lehmann explained the approach surface and ratios in
flight angles using diagrams on the blackboard.
After discussion and proposed changes in the standards, the Board
members and pilots agreed to the proposed changes and Professor Lehmann
will rewrite the regulations and have them in the Zoning Office by Sept.
1, 1979. The Zoning Office will have copies available by Sept. 7 for
review.
The Zoning Committee or the Board of Adjustment will present the
standards to the County Board on September 11, 1979.
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 1:20 p.m. C.
