HomeMy WebLinkAboutBoard of Adjustment 07-30-1985BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS HEARING July 30, 1985 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman Stephens at 9:00 a.m. in the County Board Room, Courthouse, Hudson. All members present. Minutes of the previous meeting and hearing approved as written. Hearing called to order by Chairman Stephens. Zoning Administrator read notice of the hearings as published in the county and local newspapers. 1. ARTICLE: 8.4B(2)(b), Setback from a state highway APPELLANT: Marvin Teigen LOCATION: NW4 NW4, Section 35, T30N-R15W, Town of Springfield 2. ARTICLE: 3.12, 5.12, Filling and grading, Riverway District APPELLANT: St. Paul Area Y.M.C.A. LOCATION: SW4i Section 6, T28N-R20W, Town of Troy 3. ARTICLE: 2.4 F(2), Transmission Tower APPELLANT: Air Communications of Wisconsin, Inc. LOCATION: SE4 NE4f Section 12, T28N-R19W, Town of Troy Chairman Stephens set the guidelines for the hearing. Mr. Marvin Teigen presented his request to construct a house that would be 105 feet from South 128 as this is the only area to build due to hill be- hind the property and the location of the sewer system. Mr. John Duntley presented the request of St. Paul Y.M.C.A. Camp St. Croix to construct a road in the St. Croix Riverway District, grading and filling. They would also like to construct a tennis court and maintenance garage in conjunction with the road. Questions by members of the Board. D.N.R. has no objections. Dave Anderson of Eau Claire presented the request of Air Communications of Wisconsin, Inc. to construct a communications tower for radio and mobile telephones. Explaining the reason for the tower. Questions by Board Members. Hearings recessed to inspect the properties in question. Board returned to session to render its decisions. 1. Marvin Teigen: Motion by Supervisor Meinke to approve the request due to the bluff behind the proposed structure and location of the sanitary system. Seconded by Supervisor Kelly. Motion carried. Vote to approve: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; Stephens, yes. 2. Y.M.C.A.: Motion by Supervisor Kelly to approve the request as it does not infringe on the bluffline setback and does not cause any problems for the environment. Seconded by Supervisor Meinke. Motion carried. Vote to approve: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; Stephens, yes. 3. Air Communications of Wisconsin, Inc.: Motion by Supervisor Stephens to approve the request as there is no foreseeable problems with the tower and there is need for radio and mobile telephones. Seconded by Supervisor Kelly. Motion carried. Vote to approve: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; Stephens, yes. Zoning Administrator to write letter to Park Broadcasting to shield the strobe lights on the tower as required in the Board of Adjustments approval. 2 Motion by Supervisor Kelly to adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor Meinke. Motion carried.
