October 22, 1985
9:00 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Stephens at 9:00 a.m. in the County Board
Room, Courthouse, Hudson. All members present. Minutes of the September
meeting and hearings approved as written.
Hearing called to order by Chairman Stephens. Chairman Stephens set the guidelines
for the hearings. Zoning Administrator read notice of the hearings as published
in the county and local newspapers.

Mr. Steve Wilcox presented the request of Beverly Heuer to rip rap her property on
Bass Lake, explaining the reason for the rip rap.
Mr. Don Boumeester presented his request for a dog kennel on a 33 acre parcel in
the Town of Somerset. Mr. Boumeester explained the construction of the kennel.
Building would be in the woods and surrounded by a six foot chain link fence.
Dennis Fleischauer, speaking for Linda Lockman, who is building an antique store,
has no objections to the kennel.
Zoning Administrator read letter from Cemetery Association, and a petition from
neighbors. Those speaking in opposition were Edwin Growe, and Evelyn Strese.
Mr. Boumeester rebutted the remarks of those on the petition. Questions by
members of the board. Donna Glowe, adjacent landowner, is concerned that the
building would not be built according to the plans. Leonard Kludtke was only
shown the building and agreed upon this only.
Julie Speer and Joan Dillon presented their request to construct a lift between
their lot line. Questions by members of the board.
Mr. Warren Wood presented his request to construct a deck on a boathouse located
on Cedar Lake. He explained that he was not going to build the screened porch on
the deck.
Marvin Hodgen, adjoining landowner, objected to the deck, as he would not be able
to see the lake. Mr. Wood rebutted Mr. Hodgen's remarks.
Hearings recessed for inspection of the properties in question.
1. Warren Wood: Motion by Supervisor Meinke to approve the request as it
is merely an improvement to the existing structure. Zoning Administrator to
inspect upon completion. Seconded by Supervisor Kelly. Motion carried. Vote
to approve: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; Stephens, yes.
2. Beverly Heuer: Motion by Supervisor Kelly to approve the request in
order to save the shoreline, and provided all DNR specifications are met.
Zoning Administrator to inspect upon completion. Seconded by Supervisor Meinke.
Motion carried. Vote to approve: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; Stephens, yes,

3. Don Boumeester: Motion by Supervisor Stephens to deny due to neighbor-
hood opposition and the Board of Adjustment does not grant approvals for holding
tanks on new construction. Seconded by Supervisor Meinke. Motion carried.
Vote to deny: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; Stephens, yes.
4. Speer & Dillon: Motion by Supervisor Stephens to table until the No-
vember 26, 1985 hearings. Seconded by Supervisor Kelly. Motion carried.
Motion by Supervisor Kelly to adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor Meinke. Motion
carried. Hearings and meeting closed at 2:00 p.m.
The next hearing date is November 26, 1985.
