INEW BUSINESS:
1. Bi-weekly construction meeting. Donna Rodgers from Dell opened the meeting.
Several sub-contractors were present and reviewed the project status. She stated
she has received word that the windows can be delivered at the end of January.
Window installation should take about four days. Larson noted he had called the
window manufacturer as well. A plumbing issue was reviewed with the City
Building Inspector. Valve changes by the contractor will be necessary in order to
meet City code. The cost will be at the contractor's expense and take a day or two.
f
i2. Review Sewer Line and Manhole Work. The Committee reviewed the
circumstances that led to the additional cost for sewer and manhole work early in
the project. The problem centered on the project drawings having not been based j
on the as-built drawings for the Government Center, and therefore connections
were not in the places they were expected to be. The additional costs were likely
costs the County would have incurred regardless if the correct locations had been
used in the design of the Huber expansion. It is unclear as to whether the cost
would have been different had the plans been correct to begin. The Committee
reviewed project costs to date that are very close to expected costs and saw no
reason to review this concern further.
