MEMBERS PRESENT: Lori Bernard, Robert Boche, James Craig, John Garden, John
Mortensen, Robert Palewicz, Richard Peterson, Marguerite Sumner, Wanda Viellieux,
Melissa Walthal, Marge Wolske
MEMBERS EXCUSED: Keith Gregerson
MEMBERS ABSENT: Donna Karis, Debbie Ramacher
STAFF PRESENT: Ron Lockwood, LTS Coordinator; Angie Magoon, LTS Program

Guest: John Borup, Director of Health and Human Services
Borup discussed preparation for the 2004 budget. Discussed possible war effects on Health
and Human Services. Warned that State of Wisconsin projected deficits could lead to a
reduction in commitment of state resources for Health and Human Service programs.
Meeting called to order by Wolske at 1:45pm.
Roll Call: Quorum present
'Introduction of John Garden, new member appointed by County Board Chair Clarence "Buck"
Malick.
Motion to adopt agenda by Boche, second by Mortensen, carried.
Motion to accept previous meeting minutes by Peterson, second by Boche, carried.
Next Meeting Date: Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 1:30pm in Board Room at Human Services
Complex, New Richmond.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
New Richmond News Article: An article from the New Richmond News regarding Viellieux
and her service dog was passed around. This news article should raise public awareness of
the important role of service dogs for persons with severe disabling conditions.
